Khobar
Al-Khobar is a Saudi city, and the administrative capital of Al-Khobar Governorate in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is located south of Dammam, 17 km away from it, and approximately 10 km from the city of Dhahran. Al-Khobar flourished after the discovery of oil, especially since the eastern region is the most important region in oil production in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Most of the oil output in Saudi Arabia is concentrated in the eastern region, so the eastern region flourished in trade and industry. Industrial cities were established in Jubail, which is the largest industrial city in Saudi Arabia. Other cities such as Abqaiq, Dhahran, Ras Tanura and others flourished. Al-Khobar came at the top of the list of the most expensive Saudi cities in terms of cost of living, overtaking Jeddah and Riyadh.
