City of Jeddah

The city of Jeddah is the center of Jeddah Governorate, one of the governorates of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, and it is located in the west of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the Red Sea coast. The city is 949 km away from the capital Riyadh, 79 km away from the city of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and 420 km away from Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah. From 2021, with a total area of ​​84,658 hectares (846.58 km2), it is the second largest city in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after the capital, Riyadh, and the largest city in the Makkah region.
